Rakesh Roshan, son of music maestro, the late Roshan Sahib, started his career in films in 1968, as an assistant director to veterans like H.S.Rawail and Mohan Kumar. Although he was keen on direction, his good looks ensured that he became a hero with Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani (1970). When his debut film was a super hit, he decided to pursue his acting career and acted in over 70 films, which includes silver jubilee and golden jubilee hits. However the passion for film making remained intact, and in 1977, Rakesh Roshan launched his own company Filmkraft. After producing films like ‘Aap ke Deewane’, ‘Kaamchor’, ‘ ‘Jaag Utha Insaan’ and ‘Bhagwan Dada’ with other directors, Roshan made his directorial debut with ‘Khudgarz’ in 1987. To date, Rakesh Roshan has produced and directed memorable blockbuster like Khoon Bhari Maang, Kishan Kanhaiya, King Uncle, Karan Arjun, Koyla, Kaho Naa Pyar Hain, Koi... Mil Gaya and Krrish.
